LEADERSHIP

RON & LYNN DENNIS

Ministers of Grace Latino

Ron and Lynn received a call from the LORD to full-time service in missions when they were young people.  After receiving university training in linguistics, they spent over 48 years serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators, first in Honduras, where they worked among the Tolpan people, then in Guatemala, where they facilitated the work of other Bible translation teams and Ron served in the finance office, and finally in the international office in Dallas, Texas.  Lynn was a translation consultant and regional director in South America, while Ron worked in international financial services.  They are now retired from Wycliffe but continue to serve both the Tolpan people and national missionaries and native-speaking translators in South America and elsewhere. Their heart is all about encouraging them, helping to provide resources for them, and removing obstacles so that they can carry out the ministry God has call them to do. Technology helps them stay in touch, even with those in remote places.

What spurs on Ron and Lynn is the love that God has poured out on them that they can share with others. They know the central place of the Word of God--received, made understandable, and taught—in making Jesus Christ known all over the world. At GFC, they are part of the leadership in Grace Latino.

Ron and Lynn are blessed with two children and five adult grandchildren.  Four of the grandchildren are married, so their family continues to grow! A key verse for them in ministry has been Zechariah 4:6, “…’Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
