The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and it has one major word for healing – Rapha – which means - to mend; to cure; to heal, to repair, to thoroughly make whole, to return to normal.

In Exodus 15:26 we find that God is Jehovah Rapha – the Lord your Healer. Healing is one of the redemptive names of God! Healing is more than just something God does; it is who He is!
