Sometimes in life you plant seed and it looks like nothing is happening. Sometimes it seems like you’re going for a long time without any visible signs of life. No obvious growth. No evident harvest. In the parable of the sower in Luke 8:6 – the Bible says that some seed fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Water is essential to life. Plants cannot live without water. You won’t live long without water – physically or spiritually. Water represents several things in the Bible. One of the main things it represents is the Holy Spirit. Water makes the root possible. The seed cannot germinate without it. Only the ministry of the Spirit can keep the soil of the heart moist so the seed of the word can bear fruit.
