We are in a series entitled Going Green. Last week I preached on the importance of planting the seed of God’s word in our lives. This week, I started thinking of other seeds we can plant in our lives. Do you know who the first billionaire was in modern history? His name is John D. Rockefeller. Rockefeller was a Christian who believed that his purpose in life was to make as much money as possible then give it wisely to help others. Successful people are generous people who were generous before they were successful. Too many people think backwards: when I prosper, I will give. No you won’t. If you don’t start giving now where you are, you won’t prosper.
